As part of your appointment, one of our dental hygienists will clean your teeth. They will scrape away plaque and tartar, polish your teeth, and floss them to remove any remaining debris. Routine teeth cleanings keep your mouth healthy, and keep your teeth bright and beautiful, too.
After your x-rays and cleaning, Dr. Brookes will review your x-rays and conduct a visual exam of your mouth. He will look for signs of gum disease, tooth decay, failing dental work, and much more. If he notices any potential issues, he’ll discuss your options for treatment, and help you schedule the follow-up care you need.
Nope! There are no hidden costs or additional fees. However, the $120 New Patient Special doesn’t apply for patients with active periodontal (gum) disease. If you have gum disease, you cannot get the $120 New Patient Special.
If your mouth is healthy and free of any problems, Dr. Brookes will send you home after you schedule your next six-month checkup. But if he does notice an issue that should be addressed, he’ll go over all of your options for treatment. You can schedule a follow-up right away, or go home and think it over. There’s no pressure, and we’re always here to help once you’ve made your decision. We also offer a dental membership plan, which includes two yearly preventive cleanings and oral exams, a yearly set of x-rays, and a 20% discount on all other necessary dental care.
Yes. We do accept dental insurance plans from MetLife and Delta Dental. However, dental insurance can’t be combined with the $120 New Patient Special. That’s because most insurance plans cover twice-yearly preventive care at no out-of-pocket cost. So feel free to give us a call, see if we work with your insurer, and get the care you need in Shorewood or Milwaukee.
